Bed Rest What?

So apparently the doctor has ordered me to bed rest. I couldn't be more irritated by this. As all of you already know, I do not know the definition on this. My blood pressure went really high and one of my blood levels is off, so they want me to stay calm in "bed, couch or toilet". Now what I think about this matter obviously doesn't really mean a lick of anything because we are paying the doctor to tell us what's best, but I can't help but find my humor in this. So he wants me on bed rest at 39 weeks.... meanwhile the stresses in my life have passed..... all myweddings, traveling, selling my business, burying dad... I mean are you kidding? If there was a time for bed rest it would have been since February! Sorry, my sense of humor. But I still don't see why they are restricting me from the pool!

Not sleeping well these days. Wake up very often with braxton hicks contractions. I'm just ready for this man to make a serious move!!!

Here's what else I think is funny: I spent a day, 2 weeks ago cooking all day the favorites of Brett and I's. 2 pans each of chicken enchiladas, turkey enchiladas, manicotti, katers taters, pork papparadellie ragu, vegetable soup and some other items. I froze these for the days when Barron is here, and we don't feel like cooking. BUT apparently, we have already begun to dig into these prior to his arrival. Thats what they are there for, but dang!!!
The girls took me out to eat Monday for my "last supper" at Lenoras. It was delish!!! Thank you girls for such a great night. (amy had already left when this photo was taken. :( )We had a REALLY bad storm that night, and one of our trees in our backyard fell. I couldn't help but laugh when I woke up and saw it. We lost power from 8pm until 5:30am. You talk about a HOT Mississippi Summer Night in our house!? I sat on the front porch for 2 hours during the night, just knowing I would hear someone else scream in frustration. Then I remembered, no one else on our street is 10 months pregnant. I can't wait til Barron's old enough one day for this story. Worst night of sleep, ever, hands down.
We have added 7 jars of pickles,2 jars of okra, 2 mini jars jalapenos and 3 jars of pepperochini peppers to the canning collection. I can't wait to see how the okra and peppers turn out. I "sorta" winged it.

Well, its Saturday on bed rest. I am going to make doughnuts this morning. I don't care. Brett's on the farm today so I have to best be fending for myself! Love you everyone!

Waiting Game

Well, just some updates from 38655. I've been busy getting A Bash tied up into a pretty little box for Krista to take over.

Baby Barron weighs just at 7lbs right now. No ideas or predictors of when he'll be here, sorry to report!
Everyone seems to be just "on call" these days waiting and waiting. But we did get a stroller, I'm STOKED!!!

A Bumbleride Indie in ruby:

Otherwise I'm trying to kick it and wait out the next 2 weeks (hopefully less!) If you wonder what we're doing, think pickling and canning!!!

Shock!

As many of you have heard by now, I have sold A Bash, my business of 8 years. I don't think I've heard an "I expected this" yet, but this is something thats been on my mind for a long while, and the opportunity presented itself at a great time in my life. Everyone has asked if I'm a stay at home mom now, and I want to be sure to clear this up! No!!!

If you think about Mr. Rosson and I, we pride ourselves on work. I will go back to work, doing I don't know what, but I want to work. Just ready for a new chapter in my life. I'm sure writing lots of these this year.

Krista, the new owner, previously worked for me 3 years ago. For the past 2 years, she has been in California. Shes a HARD worker, a don't settle for less than the best and overly sweet gal. A Bash is in great hands. My "baby" has grown up and ready for some new wings! I'll be working on this baby about to debut!

We go to the doctor today! So anxious to hear how he thinks I'm progressing!? I am also helping host Melinda's baby shower tomorrow! Can't wait!!!!

Will update Baby Barron's progress later today!

Best,
Kate

Barron's Room Revealed!

Well Ladies and Gents, its revealed. Barron's nursery! Hope you enjoy it!

Things here have finally started to quite down, just in time for me to get tired. We have 1 month to go exactly.

So for an update. I feel fine, really. My body is worn out at the end of the day, no doubt. Sleeping isn't my favorite part of the day anymore. Its waking up that is. I've gained 12lbs to date, so I think we all can rest well assured my worst fears wont be realized: breaking 200lbs! It would take an a large amount of work at this point.

My weddings are FINALLY over and so is the 4th of July celebration that I was in charge of this year. The 4th turned out great despite financial woes, but we are bouncing back, I am so proud to report. I'm already pumped about 2011 4th of July.

We have been SO busy canning, but there isn't anymore canning going on inside these walls of heatttttt. All canning must go outside. I have made 2 batches of spicy tomato sauce and a batch of zesty salsa. I also made a test jar of picked okra. Our tomatoes are growing rampant, its hard to keep up! Cucumbers should be coming in, in about a week. So pickling shall begin too.

Headed to the pool, to float and maybe catch some zzz's.
