Rearranged

Such a bitter-sweet weekend to celebrate Father's Day. This year, we are rearranged. One year ago, I never thought we'd be celebrating this year the new beaconing of one father and remembering the life of another. We try to take the unfortunate and sad in stride and savor the good and make it last. And so the year of "firsts" continues as we remember my dad this weekend. I guess we'll never stop celebrating fathers day for him, but I sure wish he were here. You can't help but look back and think you could have made the last one, just that bit more special. I got my annual 'Dakin Farm's Fathers Day" email and I had to rememeber, I won't be placing my annual order to be delivered overnight to him. Here's a classic shot of dad, well from the 90's but on the boat and happy.
We forge forward, we move on. I have to remember thats exactly what he would say. So tomorrow, I get to bear gifts to Brett for our first Father's day. Mama did good! We will eat crawfish and who knows what else we will do. I just love Mothers day this year, so I intend to make sure his first Fathers day is special too!

As dad would day, OAO.
