Robert L. (Bob) Barron, of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla, a former resident of Riverton, NJ died Monday, March 22, 2010 in St. Petersburg, FL. He was 60.
Born and raised in Haddonfield, NJ He was a son of the late William Barron and the late Thelma Barron.
He was a graduate of Haddonfield High School and Reisch School of Auctioneering. He was a well-known Auctioneer in the Tri-State area continuing a family business with Web & Associates in New Jersey for over 30 years.
He is survived by two children, Elizabeth Cooke Barron of Indian Rocks Beach, and Katherine Barron Rosson and her husband Brett of Oxford, Miss. He is also survived by a sister, Ann McBeth of Sugar Run, Pa.; a brother, Bill Barron of Holiday, FL; and three nieces and two nephews.
Bob was a member of the New Jersey State Society of Auctions for many years and published "The Auction Bill,” a bi-monthly
newsletter for the organization. Also he was a member of the NAA (National Auctioneers Association).
He also served as a member of the Riverton /Palmyra Lions Club, starting their Golf Fund raiser, and an longtime member of the Riverton 4th of July committee serving on many executive positions.
